About this Webinar

Historical dry-cleaning operations at two commercial laundries in Victoria left a legacy of on-site and off-site contamination, with chlorinated solvents and petroleum hydrocarbons identified as the primary contaminants of potential concern (COPCs).

Comparable contamination issues were also identified at a former Victorian carpet manufacturing facility, where chlorinated solvents had been used and fuels stored and distributed on site.

A fourth Victorian site displayed a similar contamination profile associated with historical metal product fabrication and petroleum storage and distribution activities.

Join Dr Lyndon Bell and Tim Sullivan from JBS&G (a Geosyntec Company) as they share lessons learned from the environmental assessment and remediation of these four case studies. Drawing on experience from numerous similar projects, the webinar will highlight key challenges, investigation strategies, remediation approaches, including bioremediation, and practical insights for managing complex chlorinated solvent and petroleum hydrocarbon contamination.
