WEBINAR
From sensors to AI vision: A new approach to pollution detection
Friday 10th April at 12:30pm

About this Webinar
Join Matthew O’Brien from AI for Enviros for a practical webinar on the evolution of AI enabled pollution monitoring. Developed in collaboration with Bio2Lab, this approach grew from a real world water quality surveillance challenge that led from field sensors to cameras, and then to AI assisted image interpretation for detecting visible pollution events.
Matthew will share lessons from operational sites with Banyule City Council and discuss where this approach may support early detection, improved situational awareness and more targeted response across stormwater and waterway assets
Our Speakers

Troy Thompson
Technical Sales, HydroTerra
Troy Thompson has over 25 years of experience in the environmental monitoring field. Starting his career taking wastewater samples, Troy moved into flow monitoring where we worked as a field hydrographer across Australia, NZ, Hong Kong, Singapore and the USA installing and operating a range of sensors, data loggers and telemetry systems before working as a data analyst. Troy has significant experience managing projects and field teams with a big focus on safety having completed thousands of confined space entries.
