WEBINAR
From regulation to reality: How landfill compliance is evolving under GED
Friday 19th June at 12:30pm

About this Webinar
Landfill compliance in Victoria has changed a lot with the introduction of the General Environmental Duty (GED) and Risk Management and Monitoring Program (RMMPs), but how are these changes actually playing out on the ground?
That’s what we want to unpack......and we want your input. Send us your questions and we’ll use them to help shape the discussion.
Joining Richard Campbell is Nick Simmons, an EPA Victoria appointed environmental auditor (industrial facilities – landfills) and ex-EPA Victoria landfill Principal.
Together they’ll dig into how auditors and consultants are interpreting the current requirements, where people are getting stuck and how compliance may be achieved in practice.
- What’s confusing you right now?
- Where are the grey areas?
- What would you like answers on?
This won’t be theory heavy. We’ll focus on real-world experiences, including; Common gaps in understanding, how audit expectations are evolving and the day-to-day realities for councils and operators working with limited resources.
We’d like an interactive session, so come along, ask questions and be part of the conversation. We’ll do our best to make sure the discussion tackles the issues that matter most to you.
